Good afternoon from overcast Talkeetna! We are in a holding pattern due to high winds that you can see in the NOAA chart above. In order to safely land on Kahiltna glacier where the base camp is located at 7200ft, we need the wind to be below 20mph or so.
Meanwhile, we’re back at the roadhouse here in town continuing to work on Cold Love as well as trying to line up interviews with local mountaineers, pilots and environmentalist.
